And now.......planning is underway for the 13th annual Family History Day at the California State Archives.
Be sure to mark your calendars for Saturday, October 15, 2011. Next, take a look at the right sidebar of the screen for the blog update options under Subscribe to Updates and the information under Event Particulars.
This day is for you if you want to learn how to find out who's in your family tree. Maybe you've watched those family history research programs on television. In one-hour, the programs show viewers the fascinating types of documents and records about our ancestors that can be found and where but not the how of finding them and documenting and preserving the research.
Enter FHD2011 -- your opportunity to learn:
- How to begin your search or refine your skills
- What resources are available and how to use them
- Why preservation of documents is important
- Where California state government records are kept
- Why it's important to work with others doing family history research.
Please share this event information with your family and friends.

Thank you for keeping us informed of the 2011 event planning. The Sons of the American Revolution were proud to participate in 2010. We met a lot of fine people from all around the greater Sacramento region.
ReplyDeleteOnce again, Denise and her team are doing an excellent job of keeping us all updated on what to expect at the 2011 Family History Day. Keeping a blog updated and interesting is a lot of work! Congratulations on your success.
